Pengaruh Kemandirian Belajar terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Biologi Siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 238 Jakarta pada Materi Klasifikasi Makhluk Hidup

Abstract


The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of learning independence on the creative thinking ability in biology of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 238 Jakarta in the subject matter of living things classification. The type of research used is quantitative with a correlational survey method. The research design applied is a correlational survey that measures the relationship between two or more variables without manipulating those variables. The sample in this study consisted of class VII C and VII F, with a total of 36 students from one class and 35 students from the other. The instruments used in this research were essay tests and questionnaires. The research findings, based on normality test calculations, showed that for the data on students’ creative thinking ability in biology, the result was 7.088 < 12.592, thus it can be concluded that the data on students’ creative thinking ability in biology is normally distributed. For the Learning Independence data, the result was 6.206 < 12.592, thus it can be concluded that the learning independence data is normally distributed. Furthermore, in the linearity test calculation, the result was 2.155 with F = 2.412 at a 5% significance level, so since 2.155 < 2.412, the data followed a linear pattern. Then, in the homogeneity test using the F test, the result was 3.917 < 4.098, which was accepted. Thus, it means that there is no significant effect of Learning Independence on the Creative Thinking Ability in biology of the students.
