Tangerang can not be separated from the history of Banten and Batavia (Jakarta) which at the time of independence became the center of defense. The birth of Tangerang began with the struggle of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa's son against the VOC colonialism by building a fort, so that the VOC would not monopolize trade to the Tangerang area. The name Tangerang comes from the word "tenger" or tengger which means fort or marker. The name Tangerang was officially used during the Japanese occupation of Indonesia in 1942. At the beginning of Indonesia's independence, there was still chaos in various areas, one of which was in the Tangerang area when it was led by Agus Padmanegara. In order to anticipate the chaos that occurred in Tangerang, the Indonesian National Committee for the Tangerang area intended to replace Agus Padmanegara with Achmad Chaerun. However, when Achmad Chaerun served as regent of Tangerang, there were many terrors experienced by the community, and there were even laskars who took people's property. The Laskar was named Laskar Hitam or Laskar Ubel-ubel in which there were PKI troops. The method is carried out by collecting information data both in the national library, the internet, and even interviews with elders in the area where the incident occurred.
