This study aims to examine the role of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) education in higher education as a strategy for developing Industry 5.0 competencies. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines by analyzing Scopus-indexed publications from 2019 to 2025 related to STEAM, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and Industry 5.0 competencies. The findings indicate that STEAM fosters digital literacy, computational thinking, creativity, innovation, collaboration, digital ethics, sustainability competencies, and human-centered skills. The integration of artificial intelligence further enhances learning effectiveness and graduate readiness for Industry 5.0 challenges. The novelty of this study lies in integrating STEAM education, Industry 5.0 competencies, and AI-driven digital transformation into a unified conceptual framework. This study contributes to the advancement of theoretical understanding and provides practical implications for curriculum development, higher education policy, and adaptive, sustainable, and human-centered learning design.
