The study of the thematic role of the perpetrator is often neglected or missed because sentences are only observed based on elements or word categories, such as subjects, predicates, nouns and verbs, even though sentences can be seen from the point of view of the role of the perpetrator. The purpose of this research is to explain the role of the sentence actors in factual narrative texts. Through this detailed and in-depth analysis, it will be seen that the sentence has the role of the actor as the subject in the intransitive sentence or the complement in the passive sentence. The research method is conducted qualitatively. The object of the research is natural data in the form of sentences analyzed according to the actor's role in intransitive and passive sentences. The population consists of sentences contained in factual narrative texts through samples taken at the beginning, middle, and end purposively. The research object in the form of factual narrative text is analyzed based on the theory contained in Indonesian Standard Grammar V, 2017, in the field of sentence studies. The results show that there are seven actor roles in intra-subitive sentences in factual narrative texts: Naini five times, he as a pronoun, and students each appear once. Meanwhile, there are four actors' roles as subjects in factual narrative texts and five actors as complements. In conclusion, in factual narratives, actors often appear in sentences indicated by the pronominal Naini. On the other hand, sentences with the role of the agent as a complement appear slightly more than those with the agent as the subject.
