Penerapan Etika Bisnis Dalam Kegiatan Umkm Di Era Digital Dicikarang

Abstract


When a business is faced with intense competition, the ability of MSMEs to maintain their market position is crucial in order to stay ahead. Business ethics play a vital role in a company’s operations. A company can succeed not only through good morals and management but also by upholding sound business ethics. However, unethical behavior in business activities often arises due to the development of digital-based information technology, which creates opportunities for misconduct, coupled with weak moral and ethical awareness in business practices. In response to these issues, a group of lecturers from Universitas Pertiwi, organized training and mentoring for the Department of Cooperatives and MSMEs on the Application of Business Ethics in MSME operations. The training was held on October 24, 2023, in Cikarang. The objectives of this training and mentoring program were to increase understanding of Business Ethics and its general principles, provide insights on implementing Business Ethics in MSME operations, present examples of business ethics violations in MSME operations in the digital era, and motivate MSME entrepreneurs to implement Business Ethics. It is expected that the training will raise awareness among MSMEs regarding the importance of business ethics in achieving long-term business objectives and foster ethical behavior among MSMEs in conducting business in the digital era.
When faced with intense competition, MSMEs must strategically maintain their market position. Business ethics play a crucial role in organizational success, not only through effective management but also by upholding ethical practices. However, unethical business practices often emerge in the digital era due to the misuse of digital information technology and the lack of moral and ethical awareness among business practitioners. This study examines the implementation of business ethics in MSME activities in Cikarang. It aims to identify challenges, propose strategic solutions, and foster a culture of ethical business practices among MSMEs.
