ENGLISH CLASSROOM INSTRUCTIONS UNTUK GURU SMA DI KOTA SERANG DAN BOGOR

ABSTRAK

Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk menjabarkan sosialisai English Classroom Instructions kepada guru-guru di SMA Bina Spora Mandiri, Bogor-Jawa Barat dan SMA Bina Putera Kopo, Serang – Banten. Latar belakang dilaksanakannya kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi Bahasa Inggris bagi guru-guru SMA mata pelajaran non-Bahasa Inggris di kota Serang dan Bogor. Kegiatan ini terdiri dari beberapa tahapan yaitu presentasi yang diberikan oleh tim, simulasi penggunaan English Classroom Instructions yang dilakukan oleh para guru dengan pendampingan tim, dan diakhiri dengan diskusi dan review bersama para guru dan kepala sekolah. Secara umum, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan ini memberikan pengaruh yang positif pada pembelajaran di SMA Bina Spora Mandiri, Bogor-Jawa Barat dan SMA Bina Putera Kopo, Serang – Banten.

ABSTRACT

This paper aims at defining the process of socialization of English Classroom Instructions to Senior High School teachers in SMA Bina Spora Mandiri, Bogor- Jawa Barat and SMA Bina Putera Kopo, Serang-Banten. This event was held in order to increase the English competencies of non-English Senior High School teacher. The event were divided into three phases; presentations, simulation, and review. First, the team present English classroom instructions to the participant. Second, the participant practiced using the English classroom instructions to the students under the team’s supervision. Third, the team together with the participant discussed and reviewed the material and activities. Finally, we can conclude that the socialization of English classroom instructions brought a positive impact to the learning process in SMA Bina Spora Mandiri, Bogor- Jawa Barat and SMA Bina Putera Kopo, Serang-Banten.
