An increase in the area of oil palm plantations as a respond to the market demand will increase the production of palm oil and POME. This paper will also present the predicted model of forest fire and predicted model regarding the POME production from palm oil industry in Indonesia, discuss the causes of forest fires and the causes of increased POME production, as well as policy interventions needed to deal with environmental problems from forest fires and POME.
