Abstract

Stuttering is language communication delivered by speakers in a halting manner so that the message received by the listener feels boring. This phenomenon can happen to anyone, to children or adults. The problem of interesting stuttering is raised as a semantic study with adult research objects that are difficult to convey words or languages because of a lot of meaningful communication when he stutters. This study aims to add insight based on the results of research for the parties/experts relating to efforts to improve language skills by using qualitative methods based on case studies of an adult woman who is stuttering. The theory used as the subject of his research is semiotics because many of the language signs expressed by these adult women help their communication. The results showed that the effect of stuttering on someone had an impact on the person's socializing process so that if he is ridiculed he will not continue the communication process. Likewise, the sentences communicated by someone are meaningful when they stutter.
