Analisa Penerapan Model Flipped Learning pada Mata Kuliah Pemrograman Web dan Dampaknya terhadap Motivasi Belajar Mahasiswa

Abstract


Web programming courses are often considered difficult by students. This is because the curriculum delivery process still focuses on conventional learning, where students receive learning materials in class. This problem is a major obstacle, so a solution is needed to increase student motivation. The purpose of this study is to analyze the application of the Flipped Learning model in Web Programming courses and its impact on student learning motivation. The research method used is a case study method to analyze the application of the flipped learning model in web programming courses and its impact on student learning motivation. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire distributed to students in the Information Systems study program at the Faculty of Technology and Intelligent Engineering, Maranatha Christian University, who had taken the course. The results obtained show that the application of the Flipped Learning model was successfully implemented in the Web Programming course. Students showed a significant increase in their learning motivation after this model was applied. This success was primarily due to the shift in learning focus, where basic material was studied independently (through videos or modules) before class, allowing in-class time to be optimally utilized for discussion, problem-solving, and direct coding practice. These findings indicate that Flipped Learning is an effective pedagogical solution to overcome the challenges of conventional learning and successfully increase students' motivation and active engagement in technical courses such as Web Programming.
