Anik Pujiati, Retariandalas Retariandalas, Titin Supriyatin

Abstract

This study seeks to examine the evolution of research concerning spiritual attitudes in science education through a bibliometric methodology. Data was sourced from Scopus, covering the publication range from 2000 to 2025, with 41 documents analyzed using VOSviewer software. The analysis revealed a significant increase in productivity trends in recent years, peaking in 2025. Indonesia dominated the publications, followed by countries such as Australia and Malaysia. The main thematic clusters identified include the integration of spirituality in science, intrinsic motivation of students, and the development of moral character in students. These findings indicate a growing interest in combining spiritual values within science education, reflecting a rising awareness of the importance of holistic education that includes cognitive, emotional, and spiritual dimensions. The study also provides implications for the development of curricula and teacher training that better accommodate the integration of science and spirituality. Future research is recommended to further explore the role of spirituality in understanding complex scientific concepts.
