Analisis Buku Teks Matematika Kelas VI Sekolah Dasar/Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Pada Pembelajaran Abad 21 Berdasarkan Aspek Isi, Penyajian, Bahasa, dan Grafik

Abstract


This study analyzes the quality of the Mathematics Textbook for Grade VI SD/MI authored by Gunanto and Dhesy Adhalia in the context of 21st-century learning demands. The analysis is grounded in the growing need for textbooks that not only present mathematical concepts accurately and systematically but also foster higher-order thinking skills, collaboration, communication, creativity, literacy, and problem-solving abilities required in the modern learning environment. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and document analysis techniques, this research evaluates the textbook in terms of content accuracy, material presentation, linguistic clarity, and graphic quality, based on BSNP standards and contemporary educational theory. The findings show that the textbook generally meets the criteria for high-quality learning materials. The content aligns with the Curriculum Merdeka competencies and presents concepts gradually from concrete to abstract. The presentation is systematic and supported by various practice activities, although it lacks a glossary, chapter summaries, and explicit opportunities for collaboration and exploration. The linguistic aspect is clear and appropriate for Grade VI learners, while the graphical components are visually engaging and supportive of conceptual understanding, though they could be enriched with more technological elements. Overall, the textbook is feasible for classroom use, but several improvements are recommended, especially to better integrate 21st-century learning skills, digital literacy, collaborative tasks, and richer visual materials to maximize its pedagogical impact.
