Abstract: the aim of this study is to determine the influence of the prior knowledge and interest in learning towards mastery of mathematical concepts. The method used in this study is a survey method. Analysis using multiple regression and correlation techniques. Sample size is 33 students obtained by Slovin technique. The instrument used was a multiple choice test to measure the prior knowledge and questionnaire to measure the interest in learning, while mastery of mathematical concepts is taken from the document of teacher. Results of the hypothesis test, namely, 1) there is the influence of prior knowledge and interest in learning together toward mastery of mathematical concepts, 2)there is the influence of prior knowledge toward mastery of mathematical concepts, 3) there is the influence of interest in learning toward mastery of mathematical concepts,

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Kemampuan Awal dan Minat Belajar terhadap Penguasaan Konsep Matematika. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik regresi dan korelasi ganda. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 33 peserta didik yang diperoleh dengan Teknik Slovin. Instrument yang digunakan adalah tes pilihan ganda untuk mengetahui kemampuan awal dan angket untuk mengukur minat belajar, sedangkan penguasaan konsep diambil dari dokumen guru. Hasil hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa; 1) terdapat pengaruh kemampuan awal dan minat belajar secara bersama-sama terhadap penguasaan konsep matematika, 2) terdapat pengaruh kemampuan awal terhadap penguasaan konsep matematika, 3) terdapat pengaruh minat belajar terhadap penguasaan konsep matematika.
