PERENCANAAN KARIER SISWA SMA : STUDI KONSEPTUAL

ABSTRAK
Siswa Sekolah menengah atas yang berada di kelas XII akan melanjutkan pendidikan ketahap yang lebih tinggi, oleh karenanya mereka perlu memiliki perencanaan mengenai karier mereka sebelum mengambil keputusan dalam memilih jurusan diperguruan tinggi, keputusan yang diambil ini merupakan salah satu langkah guna mencapai karier yang diinginkan, data susenas 2010 menunjukkan 61% siswa SMA belum memahami kemana sebaiknya mereka menempuh pendidikan selanjutnya. Perencanaan karier menjadi sesuatu yang bersifat personal, dimana setiap individu ketika memiliki tujuan dalam karier akan mempersiapkan setiap langkah yang perlu dilakukan dengan melihat kondisi nyata dilapangan sebagai pertimbangan. Kemampuan tersebut agar dikembangkan melalui pendampingian pengembangan karir, supaya siswa semakin paham akan dirinya sendiri, lingkungannya serta proses pengambilan keputusan, semakin mantap mempersiapkan diri dalam hal pengetahuan (knowledge), keterampilan (skills), nilai-nilai (value) dan sikap (attitude), yang diperlukan dalam menggapai karirnya. Dengan demikian, merencanakan karir siswa SMA sebagai generasi muda dan generasi penerus pembangunan, sangatlah penting.

ABSTRACT
High school students who are in grade XII will pursue higher stages of education, therefore they need to have planning on their careers before making a decision in choosing a college major, this decision is one step to achieve the desired career, susenas data year 2010 shows 61% of high school students do not understand where they should go to further education. Career planning becomes something personal, where each individual when having goals in a career will prepare every step that needs to be done by the real conditions in the field as a consideration. The ability to be developed through the advancement of career development, so that students are more aware of themselves, their environment and decision-making process, the more prepared in terms of knowledge, skills, values and attitudes, which is necessary in reaching his career. Planning a career for high school students as a young generation and the next generation of development, is very important.Keyword : Career plan, High school student
