Analysis of Online Learning on Learning Boredom of Grade VII Students of SMP Negeri 64 Jakarta during the Covid-19 Pandemic

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the factors influencing learning burnout among 7th-grade students at SMP Negeri 64 Jakarta during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as to determine the symptoms associated with this burnout. A qualitative method was employed, utilizing observation, documentation, and interviews. The study population consisted of 7th-grade students and educators at SMP Negeri 64 Jakarta. The findings indicate that the factors influencing learning burnout include role-related factors (involving both educators and students). Educator-related factors pertain to the online teaching process—such as creating varied instructional materials and conducting online student assessments—while student-related factors include the capacity for independent study, a lack of motivation to study, and poor concentration. Environmental factors relate to the teaching and learning system; for instance, educators face increased responsibilities in balancing household duties with the demands of online teaching.
