The Frame of Oral Tradition Ngendau Dayak Kenyah Towards The Creative Industrial Process
Abstract
Abstract— In this era of the industrial revolution, the existence of oral traditions has become increasingly marginalized and even in the midst of extinction, thus requiring efforts to maintain its existence. The oral tradition of Ngendau Dayak Kenyah is an oral tradition in the form of poetry sung in rhetoric or together between men and women, usually accompanied by sapeq instruments and dances. This study aims to describe the form of Ngendau Dayak Kenyah's oral tradition towards the process of the creative industry. This study uses a type of qualitative research with ethnographic methods. The technique of collecting data is in the form of observation, interviews, records, and notes. Data analysis techniques use interpretation techniques. The results showed that the form of the Ngendau Dayak Kenyah oral tradition leading to the creative industrial process included music art, performing arts in harvest thanksgiving events (Ajau), and relaxing or gathering together or Pamung Tawai (Arui). The results of this study are expected to be used as a way to preserve the Dayak Kenyah oral tradition in the creative industries that can add value to the Dayak Kenyah community and creative actors in East Kalimantan.
