Implementation of School Model Education Quality Assurance System

Abstract


Abstract. Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 19 of 2005 concerning National Standards for Education, that every Education unit in formal and non-formal channels must carry out education quality assurance, with the aim of fulfilling or exceeding the National Education Standards. To meet the National Education Standards, one of them is the School Model development activities. After taking action, it can be concluded that the principal used as the subject of this research views that in relation to the quality of education, the development of school models can be interpreted as enhancing and fostering the ability of principals, both technically and professionally to support the learning process of students so that achievement optimal learning. The development of model schools through education and training includes planning, implementation, and supervision attended by 30 school principals in order to improve the quality of education. The principal's acceptance of development material is quite high, giving a positive impact. Some indicators show the effectiveness of model school development that 77.6% of principals have acquired and have an understanding of the concept of improving the quality of education provided in education and training which is measured through pre-test and post-test with the School Action Research approach.
