Cultural Values in Padangmagek Traditional Clothes (Baju Milik and Kambuik Bajambua)

Abstract

Abstract- The aim of this research is to describe about cultural values in Padangmagek traditional clothes (Baju milik and kambuik bajambua). This research used qualitative approach and produce written data or oral about cultural values in Padangmagek traditional clothes (Baju milik dan kambuik bajambua). Data collections was conducted through interview some interviewees from Padangmagek and literature review to get some information about Padangmagek traditional clothes. So far, most of teenagers and adults in Padangmagek community don’t know culture’s values in Padangmagek traditional clothes. After doing some research the authors find that Padangmagek traditional clothes inherit cultural values that reflects Minangkabau community, especially Padangmagek community who always hold firm their traditions, religious and have strong sense of family.
