The Effect of Vocabulary and Grammar Mastery on Student’s Ability of Writing Recount Text (Survey at Senior High School in Tangerang District)

Abstract


The purpose of this study was to determine: 1. The effect of vocabulary and grammar mastery together on students' ability of writing recount text 2. The effect of vocabulary mastery on students' ability of writing recount text 3. The effect of grammar mastery on students' ability of writing recount text. The research method used is a survey with a regression study approach. Based on the results of the hypothesis and data analysis shows 1. There is significant effect of vocabulary and grammar mastery together on students' ability of writing recount texts it proved by the acquisition of Sig. 0.000b<0.05, Fcount 22.354. 2. There is significant effect of vocabulary mastery on students' ability of writing recount texts as evidenced by the Sig. 0.000<0.05 and tcount 4.052, 3. There is significant influence of grammar mastery on students' ability of writing recount texts as evidenced by the Sig. 0.001<0.05 tcount 3.607.
