SOCIAL VALUES AND CULTURAL IN THE NOVEL KIAI IBRAHIM DAN TEMPAT- TEMPAT IBADAT BY AKHMAD DIMYATI

Abstract

This reseacrh has some goals in order to describe 1) the social values in the novel of kiai
ibrahim and some places of worship. 2) cultural values in the novel kiai ibrahim and some places of worship. 3) the relationship of social values and cultural values n the novel kiai ibrahim and some places of worship. The method used in this reseacrh is a descriptive analysis method using a literary approach. The object of research is to analize the social and cultural values in the novel kiai ibrahim and some places of worshipby akhmad dimyati consisting of 357 pages of the first print in march 2018, the sample used is the contentsof the novel kiai ibrahim and some places of worshipby akhmaddimyati. Reseach result :1) there are 4 social values in this novel, namely social value of togetherness, there are 5 data (27%). social value of awarness, there are 4 data (22%). Social value of affection there are 5 data (27%.). and social value please help 4 data (22%). 2) Of the 4 cultural values the most dominant cultural values are the cultural values of human relations with god (30%). and human relations with human (30%). and the least is the relationship of humans with themselves (26%), and the hobbies of humans and humans nature (13%). 3) It has to do with social values and cultural values because the social values that exist in the comunity come from the background of the comunity.
