The Effect of Perceptions of Project Based Learning Model and Self-Efficacy towards English Speaking Skill (A Survey at Private College in Jakarta)

Abstract


The aimed of this study were to determine (1) the effect of Project Based Learning model and self efficacy together towards English speaking skill (2) the effect of perception of project based learning towards English speaking skill (3) the effect of self efficacy towards English speaking skill.The data of the study were in the forms of quantitative data. This research method used the survey method. The results of this research showed that a significant effect of project based learning perception and self efficacy together on English speaking ability. This is evidenced by a Sig. value of 0.000 with an F-value of 25.535. The significance value obtained is 0.000 < 0.05. There is a significant effect of project based learning perception on English speaking ability. This is evidenced by a Sig. value of 0.000 with  t-value of 6.776. The significance value obtained is 0.000 < 0.05.There is a significant effect of self-efficacy on English speaking ability. This is evidenced by a Sig. value of 0.001 with t-value of 3.447. The significance value obtained is 0.001 < 0.05.
