PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN AJAR DENGAN PENDEKATAN CONCRETE-PICTORIAL-ABSTRACT (CPA) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN PENALARAN MATEMATIS SISWA SD

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya pengembangan bahan ajar dengan pendekatan CPA untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa SD. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan pretes dan postes kontrol grup desain. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan CPA lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran konvensional, ditinjau secara keseluruhan maupun berdasarkan kelompok kemampuan awal matematis. Disimpulkan bahwa, kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa SD dapat ditingkatkan dengan penerapan pendekatan CPA melalui pengembangan bahan ajar.

ABSTRACT

Background of this research is motivated by the importance of teaching materials development with CPA approach to improve the mathematics reasoning ability of elementary school student’s. This research method is a quasi experiment with pretest and posttest control group design. The results of this research stated that student’s who get learning with the CPA approach is better than student's who get conventional learning both as a whole student and based on groups of prior mathematical ability. It can be concluded that mathematical reasoning ability of elementary school students can be improved by applying the CPA approach through the development of teaching materials.
