Perbandingan Bibit Anggur On Root dan Grafting dalam Pembuahan Pada Jenis Anggur Jupiter

Abstract


The selection of seedlings in grape cultivation is an important factor. Many believe that seedlings directly planted or known as "on root" have poor fruiting quality and produce fewer berries compared to grafted seedlings. In this study, we conducted a fruiting trial between on root and grafted seedlings. The results showed that the on root seedlings of the Jupiter variety produced a substantial number of clusters, around 20 clusters, at an age of about 5 months. The grafted variety showed similar results to the on root, producing around 13 clusters. However, the difference lies in the fact that on root seedlings produced berries that were more vulnerable, which may be due to the younger planting age and the forced fruiting.
