The Effects of Learning Motivation and Reading Habits Towards English Learning Achievement

Abstract


The study aims to determine: 1) The effect of learning motivation towards English Learning Achievement. 2) The effect of reading habits towards English Learning Achievement. 3) The interaction effect of learning motivation and reading habits towards English Learning Achievement. The affordable population is 11th Grade of  SMAN 104, SMAN 98, SMAN 106,  East Jakarta. The sample of this research is 90 respondents in this study. The method used is an survey method. Testing the research hypothesis using multiple regression analysis with SPSS. The results of this study show :1)  There is significant interaction effect on learning motivation and reading habits towards English Learning Achievement. This result is evidenced by the acquisition of sig.0,000 < 005 and F observe 28,574. 2) There is a significant effect on learning motivation towards English Learning Achievement. This result is evidenced by the acquisition of sig.0,000 < 0,05 and t observe 3,786. 3) There is a significant effect on reading habits towards English Learning Achievement. This result is evidenced by the acquisition of sig.0,002 < 0,05 and t observe 3,213.
