Intrinsic Elements and Leadership Aspects In The Animated Movie ‘Kungfu Panda 4’ By Dreamworks Animation And Their Implication In English Language Learning
Abstract
This research aims to (1) analyze the intrinsic elements contained in the film "Kung Fu Panda 4" by DreamWorks Animation, (2) analyze the aspects of leadership in the film "Kung Fu Panda 4," and (3) analyze the implications of intrinsic elements and leadership aspects in English language learning. This research uses a qualitative content analysis approach, which involves a deeper discussion of the content of a story. The subjects of the analysis are the scenes and dialogues that are contained in the movie "Kung Fu Panda 4". The results showed that the intrinsic elements in the film consisted of theme, character, characterization, plot, setting, and massage, which are rich in learning. The leadership aspect in this movie can be seen when Po tries to protect weak animals, adapts to changes to become a wise leader, exerts influence in his group so that he becomes an admired figure, collaborates when eradicating crime, wise in learning from mistakes, and tries to find a replacement for him. The implication in English language learning is that this film can serve as a source of inspiration for understanding the concept of leadership in an engaging and enjoyable context. In addition, we can learn new vocabulary, practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in English through the dialogues in this film. Through the practice of role-playing characters from the movie "Kung Fu Panda 4" in English language learning, it can become an effective learning tool to instill values in intrinsic elements and leadership aspects, as well as to enrich English language skills comprehensively.
