The Effects of Perceptions on Teaching Technique and Vocabulary Mastery Towards Reading Skill in Descriptive Texts
Abstract
This study aims to show the effects of perceptions on teaching technique and vocabulary mastery towards reading skill in descriptive texts. This study is a correlational study with a quantitative approach. A sample of 90 students was taken using a random sampling technique. The instruments used in collecting data are a questionnaire of perceptions on teaching technique, vocabulary test, and test of reading skill in descriptive texts. The study results show any significant effects of perceptions on teaching technique and vocabulary mastery towards reading skill in descriptive texts at State Junior High Schools in Bekasi City as evidenced by the Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05 and F count = 180.104.
