THE EFFECT OF READING HABITS AND THE VOCABULARY MASTERY TOWARD COMPREHENSION OF TRANSLATION ENGLISH TEXT

Abstract


The analysis was performed by the multiple linear regression method. The results of hypothesis testing obtained the following conclusions: 1) There is a significant influence of reading habits and mastery of vocabulary together on the ability to translate English texts of state junior high school students in Karawang Regency. This is evidenced by the value of Sig. = 0,000 <0.05 and Fcount = 192,939. 2) There is a significant effect of reading habits on the ability to translate English in junior high school students in Karawang Regency. This is evidenced by the value of Sig. = 0,000 <0.05 and Thitung = 10.831. 3) There is a significant influence on the mastery of vocabulary on the ability to translate English texts of State Junior High School students in Karawang Regency. This is evidenced by the value of Sig. = 0,000 <0.05 and Thitung = 6.984.
