The study employed a quantitative approach with a population of 569 students, and a sample survey was conducted with 85 students enrolled in two public junior high schools in Jakarta, namely SMPN 239 and SMPN 175. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression tests. The results showed that perceptions of learning media significantly influenced descriptive text reading skills, with a significance value of (sig 0.027 < 0.05) and a Ttable value of 1.987. Similarly, learning motivation had a significant influence, with a significance value of (sig 0.003 < 0.05) and a Ttable value of 1.987.
