THE EFFECT OF STUDENTS' PERCEPTION OF THE USE OF ENGLISH FOR NUSANTARA TEXTBOOK AND VOCABULARY MASTERY ON DESCRIPTIVE TEXT WRITING SKILLS
Abstract
This study examines the impact of students' perceptions of the use of the English for Nusantara textbook and vocabulary mastery on their descriptive text writing skills. Using a quantitative correlational approach, data were collected from 90 students from three public junior high schools in Sukabumi Regency through surveys and writing tests. The results show a significant influence of students' perceptions of the textbook and vocabulary mastery on writing skills, with statistical values of Sig = 0.000 < 0.05 and F = 147.415. The study highlights the role of structured learning materials in enhancing English writing skills and suggests improvements in teaching methods.
