WATAK TOKOH UTAMA DAN ALUR CERITA SITCOM EPISODES KARYA DAVID CRANE DAN JEFFREY KLARIK

Abstract

The aim of the research is to show the characteristics of the main characters and the plot of seven episodes of season one in situation comedy Episodes by David Crane and Jeffrey Klarik. The research utilised the qualitative method and content analysis technique. The findings are: (1) There are five characteristics of the main characters: 30% the achiever, 27% proper, 16% the observer, 16% persuasive, and 11% the diplomat. According to the composition, the dominant character is the achiever; (2) The plot of each episode is linear, while the plot of the entire season one is cyclical. Because the dominant plot found is linear, it can be concluded that the plot of season one of the situation comedy Episodes by David Crane and Jeffrey Klarik is linear.
