THE EFFECTS OF LEARNING MEDIA AND THE ABILITY TO WRITE RECOUNT TEXT TOWARDS THE RESULTS OF LEARNING ENGLISH

Abstract: The Effect of Learning Media and Ability to Write Recount Recount Text toward English Learning Achievement in MTs. Private sector in Tangerang. English Language Study Program. Postgraduate Faculty of Indraprasta University PGRI Jakarata.2020. xiii + 5 Chapters + 91 pages + Appendices. Keywords: Learning Media, Recount Text Writing Ability, Learning Achievement in English. This study aims to show the influence of Learning Media and Recount Text Writing Ability on Student Learning Achievement in English. The research hypotheses tested include: 1). Effect of Learning Media on English Learning Achievement. 2). The Effect of Recount Text Writing Ability on Learning Achievement in English. 3). The effect of the interaction of Learning Media and the ability to write Recount text on English Learning Achievement. This study uses an experimental method, namely by giving different treatments to two student learning groups. The population in this study were private MTs students in Tangerang Regency in the 2019/2020 learning year, totaling 800 students. Research results: 1). There is a significant influence of learning media on students' English learning achievement in private MTs in Tangerang Regency. This is evidenced by the acquisition of sig value of 0,000 <0.05, with Fcount = 15.638. 2). There is a significant influence in writing recount text ability on students' English learning achievement in MTs. Private in Tangerang district. This is evidenced by the acquisition of sig values 0.047 <0.05, with Fcount = 4.058. 3). There is a significant interactive effect of learning media and the ability to write recout text on students' English learning achievement at MTs. Private sector in Tangerang Regency. This is evidenced by the summary of Sig. 0.016 <0.05, with Fcount = 6.062. In this case the use of audio and tape learning media and the ability to write high recount text can lead to higher student achievement in English
